Have your say on the revitalization of our region’s capital

If you live, work and/or own an investment property on the Central Coast you should make it a point to view, understand and have your say about the revised plans for Gosford Waterfront called ‘The Waterfront – Renewing Our City’.

The Waterfront is vital to the future of the Central Coast. Transforming Gosford into a world-class regional city will help to create jobs and boost economic growth for the broader Central Coast region.

The new plans address the concerns expressed by the public to the previous application for “The Landing”, such as greater controls over floor space and height of buildings and greater emphasis on community facilities. They represent the first important step in delivering desperately needed facilities such as:

  • A new Regional Performing Arts and Conference Centre,
  • Improvements to Gosford City Park,
  • Commercial office space, and
  • Improved infrastructure, including better transport connections to and from the waterfront precinct.

The revised submission is on public exhibition until 5 April 2013 at the following locations:

  • Department of Planning & Infrastructure Information Centre in Sydney
  • Department of Planning & Infrastructure in Mann Street Gosford and
  • Gosford City Council

The proposal and accompanying documents can also be viewed on the Department of Planning & Infrastructure website by clicking on this link.

When “The Landing” was first presented to us in 2011, it offered an opportunity to get Gosford moving. It represented a vision to reignite interest in the region as a whole. In our view, we are fortunate to have another chance to bring life back to our city with the new plans for the waterfront.

We urge you to support this vital next step in making Gosford the world-class, regional waterfront city it deserves to be. As a Central Coast property investor (no matter what part of the Coast your property is located at), you will find that improvements to our region’s capital city could only be positive for property values and rental returns throughout the Central Coast.

To voice your support or make a comment, complete the online submission form via the NSW Department of Planning & Infrastructure website or write directly to the Minister for Planning & Infrastructure via email at or via post to:
