The weather is cooler and the days shorter.  We seem to be leaving the office in the dark and our last appointment for the day is now 4:30 pm before the sun goes down.

This month has been a really productive month on the “home” front.  With leasing and overall rental inquiries down, it has given us time to catch up on those items that we don’t often get to follow up on such as updating our clients landlord insurance policy information so we are across their policies, auditing our files and generally implementing new procedures for effectiveness.

Laetitia and I have started “Property Management Transform 2018” which is a 30 day intense coaching and training program for agents who want to improve their careers and be coached by the best in the business. It’s exciting times and although it is taking time from our days it will be well worth the effort just based on the learning we are gaining.

The team have also been on a health and wellbeing challenge with an amazing local company called NxtGen.  We are 5 weeks into the program and are making better food choices and being more active.  Its been a lovely change in the office with everyone sticking to the meal plans and being more assertive with their health.  We all know that if we are healthy physically and mentally we can be more productive in our days and live better lives. As Property Managers we often eat on the run, we don’t stop for a lunch break and find we also don’t drink enough water so this change is one we all really needed.  Our “home” team along with 800 other coasties are 50% of the way through the challenge.

We attended the Group Training awards dinner at Mingara this month to support

Crystal with her nomination and although Crystal was a finalist she didn’t come away with the win this time, but she is still a winner in our eyes.  Even to be a finalist shows the hard work and dedication she put into completing her traineeship with the highest knowledge and skill. It was a really inspirational night watching so many young trainees and apprentices with such drive and support.  Training young staff and offering them the best mentors and guidance is something I am very passionate about.  I love to see young people succeed and live amazing lives.

You will notice this month the format has changed for our newsletter as we move onto better ways of doing things.  I really hope you enjoy another month of our landlord newsletter.  For those clients receiving this for the first time we hope you find the content informative and please feel free to give us you feedback.

In the meantime.. Keep warm and happy reading!!
